Acting Director, African Natural Resources Management and Investment Centre, African Development Bank (AfDB) Group

Vanessa Ushie is Acting Director of the AfDB’s specialised department for natural resources management and investment, and Manager of the division for policy analysis on natural resources. She leads the AfDB’s strategy, programmes, and policy engagements to catalyse natural resource investments for sustainable development in Africa. Vanessa has worked for over 20 years on sustainable development. She holds a PhD in Economics from SOAS, University of London.
