Tim Clairs has more than 25 years experience with the UN. He has led the UNDP Climate and Forests team since its beginning in 2008, when he helped established the UN-REDD Programme. He has experience with many REDD+ initiatives – such as the FCPF; the Governors’ Climate & Forests Tasks Force; the GCF REDD+ Results-Based Payments; ART/TREES and Emergent.
In addition, Tim has experience with Voluntary Carbon Markets, leading UNDP’s engagement with the Voluntary Carbon Markets Integrity initiative. He is often found riding his bike in the Jura mountains and Alps around Geneva.
