Jacquie Bay

Jacquie Bay is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland’s Liggins Institute where she leads transdisciplinary research that engages communities in examining scientific, social, and local evidence to understand complex issues and promote community-based actions. Over the past decade, she has led a health-education-science partnership with the Ministries of Education and Health in the Cook Islands, leveraging opportunities in education and public health to engage adolescents and young adults in exploring the non-communicable disease epidemic affecting their community. Jacquie teaches in the University of Auckland’s Science in Society programme. She holds a Master’s degree in Science Education and a PhD in Health Science.
