Dayoon Kim is a Research Associate at the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) Asia office, based in Bangkok. Her research revolves around the issues of equity, identity, conflict, mobility and migration, and climate change, such as equity in climate diplomacy, environmental defenders, and climate change and migration. She is part of the ongoing research on the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the process and outcomes of climate negotiations together with Anisha Nazareth and Zoha Shawoo.
Her previous experiences include a research project on climate change, gender equality, and human rights in Asia commissioned by UN Women that offers policy recommendations for gender transformative and human rights-based climate action.
