Rachel Marcus is a Senior Research Fellow in ODI Global's Gender Equality and Social Inclusion team, where she leads research on transforming gender norms, with a particular focus on the role of education, and prevention of gender-based violence. She has led research on nurturing gender equality in formal and non-formal education, backlash against gender equality in education, inclusion of refugee learners in national education systems, and the impacts of climate change on children’s learning outcomes. She is a lead advisor to the Advancing Learning and Innovation on Gender Norms (ALIGN) platform, where she oversees and authors content and leads knowledge-sharing activities related to education. Upcoming research will focus on the potential of critical digital literacy skills to counter gendered misinformation and online misogyny.
