Mariana Matoso is Principal Programmes Adviser (WASH & Climate) at UNICEF UK, with 15 years’ experience advancing water, sanitation, hygiene, and climate resilience across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. She has held managerial, advisory, and coordination roles with the UN (UNICEF, IOM), INGOs (Oxfam, Concern Worldwide), research institutes (Overseas Development Institute), and global partnerships (Sanitation and Water for All), across humanitarian and development contexts. Mariana holds a PhD in Urban Water Governance and champions UNICEF’s commitment: “For Every Child, a Liveable Planet” – working to put children at the heart of climate action.
