Kizito Byenkya is the Director of Campaigns at the Open Society Foundations. He also serves as co-director of Open Society’s Washington Office. Previously, he was the Program Officer for Advocacy on Human Rights, served as Open Society’s US Policy Advisor for Africa, and also led a grant-making portfolio on engaging new allies inside and outside the human rights movement. Fostering new tools and networks to safeguard activism, advancing meaningful participation, and defend civic space.
