Dr Jemimah Njuki, Chief of the Economic Empowerment section at UN Women, is a globally recognized leader in gender equality and women’s empowerment. She manages UN Women’s work on jobs and entrepreneurship, transforming care systems, gender responsive climate action, macro-economics and financing for gender equality. Her impactful career spans over 20 years, during which she played a pivotal role in the UN Food Systems Summit as Custodian for Gender Equality, establishing the Coalition to Make Food Systems Work for Women and Girls and spearheading the Global Food 5050, an essential accountability tool for organizations engaged in global food systems.
