Professor Jatna chairs the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) Indonesia. He is also a chairing the Research Center for Climate Change and directing Biodiversity and Conservation Studies at the University of Indonesia. In addition, he has served several assignments by the Government of Indonesia.
